So I'm realizing how bad I am at updating this thing. I'm sorry in advance for my lack of it. But so much has happened.
The other day we went on the London Eye which is basically a huge ferris wheel that allows you to look over the city. It is about a 40 minute ride. Here are some pictures from it:
Then today was my first day of work at the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. It was amazing and I loved every minute of it. I have my own desk and computer!! Everyone is really nice which is awesome and fun. I also actually got to do real work today. It had to proof something for their website and I had a couple suggestions of things to change...they liked my suggestions and sent them off to the designer to implement.
On Feb 12 we are doing a Turkish concert. We got money from the Turkish embassy for it. So today I looked up websites, restaurants, universities, and like associations for Turkish people in London. There are a lot of them. I had like 3 pages of places. I was told my list was good. So tomorrow I am calling or emailing like all of the places to see if they will promote the concert.
I am also doing something similiar with someone else in the office for a Valentines concert. For that I am calling Chocolate stores, florists, and dating services.
I'm also doing some data entry...but not everything can be glamorous. I'm not upset by it though cause in the real world you have to do that stuff to. And its not too bad cause I can type.
And thats about it so far. I have also been to Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Cambridge, I did a walking tour across the river looking at London. So on that I saw the Globe Theatre and the Tate Modern Art Gallery. Both were just like quick looks so I plan on going back there soon to actually visit.

1st post from London
Hey everyone. I managed to get in fine from back home. I got in at 7am London time to 2am back home time. My flat is amazing and huge. It is 2 floors. On the first floor is a 1/2 bath (so no shower) a really large living room with 2 couches and a tv. Then is our kitchen which is also nice. Except we only have like 6 dishes and there are 6 of us so we are washing them quite a lot. The fridge is like hidden so it looks like one of the cabinets..but oh no its the fridge.
The only bad thing about the flat is that currently we don't have heat and it is freezing in here. So we all tend to make sure we have on some type of sweater or something while we are here. The time you feel it most is when you wake up in the morning.
On the 7th I had my meeting with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (RPO). The place is only about a mile away from my flat so I'll be walking every day and saving some money on the tube. I'm working in the marketing department helping out with stuff for the website, some brouchures, data entry and the like. They also said they normally need help at the performances so I hope to get to go to like a ton of them. Check out their website www.rpo.co.uk
I also am taking a theatre class while I am here. We have to like read a different play almost every week except for when we have field trips. We are going to visit backstage at the National Theatre, getting a tour of the Royal Opera House, and a tour of the Globe. Aside from those field trips we are also being taken on 4 different Wednesday nights so a play. They are all going to be straight plays...so unfortunately not musicals but I think that's still ok by me.
My schedule is as follows (in London time)
Monday: 9:30-5 work
Tuesday: 9:30-5 work
Wednesday: 10-1 class 2-5 work
Thursday: 9:30-5 work
Friday 9:30-1 work
And then I am done for the weekend to hopefully go traveling and whatnot. Going to try and hit up a bunch of places that Heather and I are not going to after I'm done in London.
If any of you have skype and want to chat let me know your skype name. Mine is billie.nachlis. I know creative right?
And that is about it for now. I haven't taken like any pictures yet. I know I really should be but there is just so much going on that it is like the last thing on my mind. Hope everyone is well back home. Keep me updated on what is happening.
